Shon Flanary and his #98 team invaded 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday evening, July 14. A weekly Open Wheel Modified event took place at the Bluegrass State oval and a $700 payday was on the line. Shon stopped the clock sixth fastest overall during the qualifying session and later ran second in heat race action. Shon Flanary Narrowly Misses Out on Merrill Downey Memorial...

The Shon Flanary Racing team rolled north to Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on Saturday evening, July 7 for the annual running of the 'Merrill Downey Memorial.' The Open Wheel Modified special at the pristine Hoosier State facility boasted a $4,444 winner's check. Shon Flanary posted the fifteenth quickest time in his group during qualifying and later ran fifth in his loaded heat race. Shon then placed third in his B-Main, which was unfortunately one mere spot away from a coveted transfer position into the 44-lap headliner. Flanary Second in Iron-Man Point Standings Exiting Bad-Fast Taz

Shon Flanary and his #98 team followed the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series to the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on Tuesday, July 3 for a special $1,000 to win mid-week program. Shon stopped the clock second quickest in qualifying at the high-banked oval and later started the 20-lapper from the outside of the front row. However, Shon unfortunately broke during the headliner and was relegated to a disappointing eleventh place showing. Shon Flanary Lands on Podium in Iron-Man Battles in Kentucky!

Current Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series point leader Shon Flanary invaded 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky and Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky on June 29-30 for a pair of series battles. On Friday night at 201, Shon knocked down the quickest lap overall in qualifying to earn Fast Time honors prior to scoring a victory in his heat race and running second behind only victor Clayton Miller in the $1,500 to win A-Main. At Lake Cumberland on Saturday evening in a $1,000 to win throwdown, Shon placed second in heat race action before bagging a strong third place podium performance in the headliner behind only race winner Clayton Miller and runner-up Ricky Arms. Following a rain-out on Friday night at Ponderosa (KY) Speedway, the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series paid a visit to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening, June 23 for a $1,500 to win showdown. Shon Flanary stopped the clock second quickest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to running second in heat race action. The Surgoinsville, Tennessee ace then drove towards the front in the caution-plagued feature event, as he moved up to second in the 25-lapper to trail only victor Ryan Thomas at the unfurling of the checkered flag. Shon Flanary Third at Tri-County; Eighth in Sweetwater

The Shon Flanary Racing team rolled into Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, North Carolina and I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee on May 11-12 for a pair of Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series showdowns. In a $1,553 to win special in Brasstown on Friday night, Shon Flanary laid down the fifth quickest lap during the qualifying session prior to moving up to third in the 25-lapper to finish behind only victor Billy Workman, Jr. and runner-up Clayton Miller. At I-75 Raceway on Saturday evening, Shon posted the tenth fastest time during qualifying before advancing to eighth in the $1,000 to win, 20-lap feature event. Flanary Gets First Win of 2018 and #100 of Racing Career!!!

Shon Flanary, of Surgoinsville, Tennessee, recorded his first Open Wheel Modified win of the 2018 racing season and victory #100 of his career on Saturday evening, May 5 at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee! Shon swept the weekly racing program at "The Gap," as he earned Fast Time honors during qualifying and later led all twenty circuits of the main event from the pole position. Shon claimed the $500 paycheck by beating Jeff Hamby, Wayne James, Josh Chesney, and Scott Lacy to the checkered flag! Shon Flanary Racing made a last minute decision to invade 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday evening, April 28 for a weekly Open Wheel Modified showdown, which boasted a $700 winner's check. Shon Flanary laid down the second fastest lap overall during the qualifying session before scoring the victory in heat race action. After starting the 20-lap main event from the outside of the front row, Shon ran amongst the leaders throughout the distance before settling for a fifth place feature showing. Flanary Caught Up in Incident at Cherokee Speedway

Shon Flanary and his #98 Open Wheel Modified team were back in racing action on Saturday night, April 14 at the renowned Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. The Dirt Cup Challenge UMP Modified Tour rolled into the "Place Your Momma Warned You About" and a $2,000 winner's check was on the line for the open wheel warriors. Shon timed in thirteenth quickest during the qualifying session, but unfortunately hit a spun car in both his heat race and the feature event. The Surgoinsville, Tennessee ace was not around at the finish and was relegated to a twenty-second place performance.
